Alyssa Jairus

Based in Johannesburg, I am a self-taught artist with a background in architecture and interior design — a combination that shapes my bold sense of structure, colour and rhythm on canvas. Though I've been painting since the age of nine, it was only in 2020 that I traded blueprints for brushstrokes to pursue art full-time.

My growing need for freedom, creation and helping others had led me to starting my own business, A little Piece of Eden. The name represents a person's God given ability to create something that does not exist. Being involved in the selling of my creative work allows me to inspire others and give others a way of expressing their individuality.  I strongly believe that we are all born creative. However, we express ourselves in various mediums and methods.​
